United in Ethics: The United Claims Professionals Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct outlines the ethical standards and professional behavior expected of all members, volunteers, and participants in our events and activities. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is a condition of membership, and failure to comply may result in disciplinary action or termination of membership.

Professionalism:
Members are expected to act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions with fellow members, industry professionals, and the public. This includes maintaining confidentiality, honoring commitments, and respecting intellectual property rights.

Respect and Inclusivity:
United Claims Professionals values diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment. Members must treat all individuals with respect, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status. Discrimination, harassment, and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited.

Collaboration and Networking:
Members are encouraged to collaborate, share knowledge, and engage in constructive discussions with fellow members and industry professionals. However, members must refrain from disclosing confidential information or engaging in any activities that may create conflicts of interest.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
Members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in their professional activities. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining proper licenses, adhering to privacy regulations, and abiding by anti-trust laws.

Ethical Business Practices:
Members are expected to conduct their business activities in an ethical manner, avoiding any practices that could damage the reputation of United Claims Professionals or the claims industry as a whole. This includes refraining from fraudulent or deceptive practices, promoting transparency in all dealings, and avoiding improper solicitation.

Representation of United Claims Professionals:
When representing or participating in events or activities related to United Claims Professionals, members must uphold the values and standards outlined in this Code of Conduct. Members should not engage in any behavior that could bring the organization into disrepute or undermine its mission and objectives.

Reporting and Enforcement:
Members are encouraged to report any violations of this Code of Conduct to the appropriate authorities within United Claims Professionals. The organization will investigate reported violations and take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership, if necessary.
